Managing Attorney Christopher Millar
Christopher Millar is the founder of Millar Law, P.L.L.C. and an experienced Arizona criminal defense attorney dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals accused of crimes throughout the state. A former felony prosecutor and United States Air Force veteran, Christopher brings a unique perspective to every case, combining firsthand knowledge of how prosecutors build cases with an aggressive, strategic approach to defending his clients.
Christopher has been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, an honor awarded to no more than 2.5% of attorneys in each state, recognizing outstanding professional achievement and peer recognition. He has also been named to The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, a distinction reserved for attorneys who demonstrate exceptional trial advocacy, leadership, and professional excellence.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Christopher began his career of public service by enlisting in the United States Air Force. During his military service, he was stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona, Incirlik Air Base in Turkey, and Beale Air Force Base in California. He also deployed to Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, where he received numerous awards for his military service before being honorably discharged in 2009.
Following his military service, Christopher earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, cum laude, from Arizona State University's Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, where he also served as a teaching assistant. He then earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law. During law school, he clerked for the Honorable Daniel P. Brennan, served in a leadership role with the Government Interest Law Society, and interned with the Illinois State Police, gaining valuable insight into criminal investigations, legal analysis, and law enforcement practices.
Christopher began his legal career as a prosecutor with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, where he received extensive training in criminal procedure, trial advocacy, and felony prosecution. He served as the Deputy County Attorney assigned to the Arrowhead and Ironwood Justice Courts before joining the Felony Trial Bureau, where he prosecuted serious felony offenses. During his time as a prosecutor, Christopher handled hundreds of felony cases, tried more than 30 trials to verdict, litigated numerous evidentiary hearings, and represented the State in Probation Violation and Early Disposition Courts.
He later transitioned to criminal defense, joining a respected Chandler criminal defense law firm before founding Millar Law. His experience on both sides of the courtroom gives him valuable insight into how criminal cases are investigated, charged, negotiated, and tried—knowledge he now uses to build strategic, effective defenses for clients throughout Arizona.
Today, Christopher focuses exclusively on criminal defense, representing clients charged with offenses ranging from DUI and misdemeanors to serious and complex felony cases. He is known for meticulous case preparation, aggressive courtroom advocacy, and a willingness to take cases to trial when necessary. Christopher believes every client deserves honest advice, relentless representation, and a defense attorney who is fully prepared to fight for the best possible outcome.
